*Sign up NOW* for next Citizen Fire Academy The next semester of the Citizen Fire Academy has been set for February 7-April 17. Classes will be held on Thursday nights from 6:30pm-9:30pm. No class will be held during Spring Break (March 17). The classes will be held at Rockwall Fire Station #2 located at 920 Rockwall Parkway. Applications are currently being accepted and are available at the Rockwall Fire Department and Rockwall City Hall. The Academy is a beneficial exercise for citizens and firefighters alike, allowing each to learn from the other. There are several opportunities for hands-on experience. Find out more! Request an application! Construction of New Fire Stations Approved** The Rockwall City Council approved moving forward with the construction of Fire Stations Numbers Three and Four. Construction was delayed due to contractor bids that had come in over budget. Voters approved funding for the new stations in the November 2005 bond election. Fire Station Number Three will serve the north area of Rockwall, including the Caruth Lakes, Lakeview Summit, Promenade Harbor, Quail Run, Random Oaks and Shores neighborhoods. Fire Station Number Four will be constructed near the Hickory Ridge, Lofland Farms and Meadowcreek neighborhoods. Construction could begin as early as April.
